Microscopic Views of Sand Dollars

After collecting a stack of sand dollars on the beach–some with their original purplish “skin,” some with hair, some with barnacles or barnacle scars–I dried them and photographed them with my digital microscope. Then the pictures where processed into kaleidoscopic images. They are all fascinating; a different way to study sea shell. See the pictures here.
