Community Garden in January

Usually garden produce is harvested while it remains immature, tender, and crisp (think about green veggies). Seldom are we permitted to see what becomes of those plants. The Juan Bautista Community Garden presents such a sight this time of year. Perhaps the gardener of the plot died or moved or lost interest, but the plants on the plot continues to thrive and prosper. As a kid I would hear folks say that a plant had gone wild. I presume something like that must have occurred which allowed a plant to reach maturity and produce seeds. It makes for an unusual, beautiful sight. See the photos here.
